West Beach Resort is located on the sunny and pristine west side of Orcas Island, Washington. We are a private destination resort specializing in providing guests with an authentic San Juan Islands getaway. We have been an Orcas Island lodging and hotel destination since 1938. Stay in our fully-equipped beachfront cabins on our world class walk-out, west-facing, sand/pebble beach and watch the sunset as you relive the day’s adventures from your private beach fire pit. Directions

To Anacortes Ferry Terminal

From I-5, take exit 230 (San Juan Islands exit). Turn left onto highway 20 west and follow the signs until you come to the San Juan Islands ferry terminal (approx. 30 mins from exit 230).
On Orcas Island

These directions are given in landmarks since maps of Orcas are frequently not good and since signs may or may not be where they should be when you come!

You must take the ferry from Anacortes to Orcas Island. Ferry Schedule

Travel LEFT off the ferry from the Orcas Landing. Following the stream of traffic, go 8.2 miles through an entirely rural area until you see the village of Eastsound on your right. Do not enter the village. Stay LEFT and go .25 miles to Enchanted Forest Road. If the sign is down, this will be your first paved left after you pass the entrance to the village. If you pass the power substation you have gone too far. If you end up at the laundromat or the airport you have gone too far. Turn around and go back to Enchanted Forest Road.

After you have turned left onto Enchanted Forest you will go 2.4 miles to our entrance. Just keep coming straight. Do NOT turn on West Beach Road! You will pass a group of small houses before you arrive at our entrance. Turn right into the property, wind through the old orchard and on down to the water. The check-in office will be obvious.

We are accepting applications for Front Desk/Store, Housekeeping, and Maintenance. Join our team of dedicated resort operators with a passion for providing our guests with an amazing Orcas Island Vacation. Pay is DOE, generous bonus program, benefits, housing, and more! Front Desk

Duties include checking in guests, answering phones, and attending to guests in the lobby. This position also may include store duties (barista, basic food service, ringing through grocery sales, fuel attendant, draft beer and wine dispensing (21+), etc). Canditates should have a friendly demeanor, excel in customer service, and be able to multitask. Prior hospitality experience preferred but not required. Knowledge of Orcas Island and attractions a plus. Position is full time spring, summer, and fall and may be part time winter-only. May combine this position with other available positions for more hours.
Store attendant (summer-only)

Duties include barista, basic food service, ringing through grocery sales, fuel attendant, draft beer and wine dispensing (21+), ice cream cones, stocking, pricing, and cleaning. Applicants must be at least 18 years of age. This is the perfect summer job for high school students and college freshmen/sophmores looking for a job that works perfectly with their school schedules. Shared housing will all utilities paid included if needed. Position starts full time mid June and ends early to mid September.
Maintenance Technician

Candidates should have a basic working knowledge of the following areas: plumbing, light electrical, appliance/machinery repair/troubleshooting, carpentry, and grounds care. Shifts generally 9AM - 5PM with some possible evening shifts in the summer. Vehicle with insurance and current driver's license required. Positions are part time or full time.
