"DeSalvo Retreat"
 This deluxe beachfront cottage is one of our more popular units with its two bedrooms and loft (perfect for kids). With a large patio, stained cedar siding, and detailed touches, cottage #5 is our most requested for larger families who require a little more living space. An added bonus are down comforters on the queen beds, a CD stereo system, and all the extras to make you feel right at home. Parking for Cottage #5 is located on the south side of the building next to the creek. Rated for four guests with a maximum occupancy of seven. No smoking, please. Well-behaved pets welcome.
The living area has beautiful hardwood floors and pine interior, electric heat, wood-burning stove, a CD stereo system, dining table and chairs, a queen size futon, coffee table, a comfy love seat, and a chair for reading. A part beachwood chandelier and a cute wooden cart add to this cottage's charm.
The kitchen includes a refrigerator, range, sink, microwave, coffee maker, and toaster. It comes fully equipped with dishes and utensils for seven people. Special items (i.e., large crab boiling pots, glass ovenware, etc.) may be available at the store, so be sure to ask if you need something that is not normally provided in the cottage. There are two separate bedrooms, each with a queen size bed with comfy down comforters and electric heat. The front bedroom has both shelves and a closet while the back bedroom has just a closet. There is also has a loft with a twin bed and skylight which is very popular with the kids. The bedrooms are situated on the southwest and southeast end of the building. All linens are provided.
 Patio: The covered patio was "touched-up" in 2006 with new decking and driftwood railings and is equipped with an outdoor table and chairs, a BBQ with spatula, grill fork, and brush. A firepit with chairs is located right on the beach in front of the patio. A trail to the south of the patio leads to our wildlife pond through a small grove of beautiful plumb trees. This cottage is also outfitted with your own picnic table and tiltable umbrella on the beach (late spring - early fall only).
The view from this cottage is what makes these cozy beach lodgings unique, special, and truly unmatched. Your cottage is situated directly on our prime walk-out sand and pebble beach, and the water is literally a stone's throw away from your front porch. There is something magical about waking up in the morning, brewing a cup of coffee, and listening to the sounds of lapping waves off your patio. And in the evenings, sit out at your own firepit and watch the absolutely spectacular sunsets over the Canadian Gulf Islands while "talking story" and fixing S'mores. This is the beach cottage experience you have been looking for... This is your cottage!
