A Brief History... We are a unique resort that offers a wide array of options and amenities for our guests. From espresso to mooring buoys, playgrounds to beach bonfires, fish smokehouse to hot tub, we try to provide our guests with the things they need and the delights they desire.
We began as a fishing vacation spot in 1938. Back when there were no fishing regulations, fishermen could take as many fish as they wanted, but this made it harder for future populations of fishes to establish themselves. Accordingly, government fishery agencies stepped in and imposed stricter fishing regulations. As a result, many of the "die-hard" fishermen stopped coming to the area and searched for other locations where restrictions were not as limiting. This marked the start of many remodelling projects we have undertaken to make our cottages a little more modern and comfortable.
Since the time of an unregulated fishery in our area, our clientele has changed from a fishing resort to a more family-oriented, romantic retreat vacation destination. We are unique, however, in that we have not gone away with our historic fishing and marine theme. Although the catch limits are not what they used to be, we have changed nothing to make this any less of a fishing vacation spot than it was back in 1938.
As more families started to come to our property, we have slowly been adding other areas of interest while still maintaining our fishing and marine theme. The result is a destination that has traditional roots as a fishing resort with the additions of family- and couples-oriented amenities and attractions. The fishermen can still come to catch the night's dinner, but now they can bring the whole family and make it a magical and enchanting vacation at a beautiful and historic location. We truly specialize in providing our guests with an authentic Pacific Northwest Experience. Employment Testimonials Sunset Gallery Below is a brief list of everything we offer.
